About Callie Ferraro

Callie Ferraro is a Contemporary Abstract Artist whose work has been described by collectors worldwide as raw, unconventional, and thought provoking. Her abstract paintings burst with color, energy, and an assertive femininity that commands attention without pressure. She shares her mind and growing point of view through her brush, giving you a platform for your own thoughts.
Callie lived and worked in Asheville’s River Arts District since 2018. For close to a decade you could find her painting and collaborating with other artists at Wedge Studios - a working studio gallery open to the public. During this time she was represented by Studio 2B7 Contemporary Gallery and Gallery COR in downtown Asheville.
In 2026 Callie started a new chapter with her fiancée in Washington, DC. Her studio is now located in Friendship Heights.
Ferraro is originally from central New Jersey and moved in her teens to Southwest Florida. She graduated from Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida in 2011 as a Visual Arts Major with an emphasis in Psychology. Following graduation Callie went on to design and instruct art programs for children and adults with autism and other special needs.
Additionally, Ferraro is an Art Activist with a passion for using art as a vehicle to deconstruct stigma associated with mental health. She has created multiple interactive art installations utilized by the public.
