IMG_0529.jpeg

Callie Ferraro is a Contemporary Abstract Artist whose work has been described by collectors worldwide as raw, unconventional, and thought provoking. Her abstract paintings burst with color, energy, and an assertive femininity that commands attention without pressure. She shares her mind and growing point of view through her brush, giving you a platform for your own thoughts.

Callie has lived and worked in Asheville’s River Arts District since 2018. After Hurricane Helene’s flooding devastated the area in September of 2024 the artist relocated to Jacksonville, Florida part time to continue her work.

Ferraro  is originally from central New Jersey and moved in her teens to Southwest Florida. She graduated in 2011 from Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, FL as a Visual Arts Major with an emphasis in Psychology.  Following graduation Callie went on to design and instruct art programs for children and adults with autism and other special needs.

Additionally, Ferraro is an Art Activist with a passion for using art as a vehicle to deconstruct stigma associated with mental health. She has created multiple interactive art installations utilized by the public.

Callie Ferraro was recently awarded 1st place Painter/Illustrator in the Best of WNC (Western North Carolina) 2024 X Awards by the Mountain Xpress readers.

The artist is currently represented by Gallery COR in Downtown Asheville's Gallery District.
